ISBN 978-609-411-316-1, <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.35321\/e-pub.40.tarmynas-geolingvistikos-portalas\">doi.org\/10.35321\/e-pub.40.tarmynas-geolingvistikos-portalas<\/a>.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The study introduces the Geographic Information Systems-based Lithuanian <em>Local Language Variant Database<\/em>, or <em>Tarmynas<\/em>: it briefly introduces the basis of <em>Tarmynas<\/em> &#8211; the Dialect Archive from the Research Centre of Geolinguistics at the Institute of the Lithuanian Language, and, taking into account the theoretical foundations of <em>Tarmynas<\/em>, it also discusses its structure and the possibilities of collecting, analysing, and disseminating the data provided by <em>Tarmynas<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The study is illustrated with a large amount of heterogeneous material from <em>Tarmynas<\/em>: audio recordings, texts written in the international phonetic alphabet, original and unedited material from the <em>Atlas of the Lithuanian Language<\/em>, linguists&#8217; handwritten manuscripts, photographs of advertisements, signboards, cemeteries, socio-economic and socio-cultural data, samples of questionnaires on sociolinguistic and perceptive dialectology, etc. These are linguistic, linguistic landscape and attitude-related data useful for both traditional and multimodal dialectology.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tarmynas<\/em> is available on the <em>Geolinguistics Portal<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.lki.lt\/\">https:\/\/maps.lki.lt\/<\/a>).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Download Agn\u0117 \u010cepaitien\u0117, Danguol\u0117 Mikul\u0117nien\u0117.
